TexBet was born in July 2020 in country NSW, with a small team with a very big vision to bring the ‘on track, local bookie in your back pocket’ experience to life. With over 50 years of bookmaking experience, we knew the market well and we knew that the time to launch was now.

Our ambition was to become the local bookie that local punters valued being a part of - something bigger than the ‘bet’ or a fleeting transaction, a community of local punters (our Texans!) that all enjoyed the thrill of the chase.

In a crowded market we brought our TexBet story to life. With our team and partners, we built a dynamic brand with an extensive and unique marketing campaign from inception. Our brand tagline ‘Bet local. Bet with Tex’ was at the heart of our brand sentiment, coupled with our campaign tagline ‘Good Call’ which became our colloquial catch cry which was consistently used across various marketing and advertising platforms.

Fast forward to 2022, TexBet scaled to over $250m in revenue. Our success was a result of our dedicated, focussed and passionate team, living and breathing for our Texan.

We found our niche, and we knew our customer.

In July 2023, TexBet was acquired by betr (NTD Pty Ltd), a new online player in the Australian wagering market which was backed by Matt Tripp (former owner of SportsBet), NewsCorp and Matt Davey.

Our TexBet chapter may have come to an end, but it signals just the beginning for the boldest. group. Building and scaling businesses is what we do. It excites us. Anything is possible.
